Demagogue in Chief

Ah yes, the Kingdom of Illusions.
Well, really... what an arsehole.

Good to see people catching on to the fraud.
(Persons who should have known better but flaked.)
Completely and utterly treacherous.

The Ninth Circle wouldn't do for the "Democrats."

I suppose I should register as a Republican, standing for the Republic in the face of the fascists, and get over the impetuosity of being "Independent." The Nation is in great need of revival laying, as it does, besieged by parasites. Not much else one can do.

What border?

The last two nights breezed through No Country for Old Men.
I'd seen the film, which was visually verbatim, hence a quick study.
I found myself much simpatico with the narrator, the Sheriff.
So too, as I survey my near environs, am feeling my age.

The "settled" West is of its essence controversial.
The matters concerning the suppression of the tribes...
the contrived consciousness that it's "really" all Mexico.
We old men have to reach for something reassuring.

When we break the laws, we lose our hold on the central reality. Like sick men in hospitals, we change only from bed to bed, from one folly to another; and it cannot signify much what becomes of such castaways, - wailing, stupid, comatose creatures, - lifted from bed to bed, from the nothing of life to the nothing of death.

In this kingdom of illusions we grope eagerly for stays and foundations. There is none but a strict and faithful dealing at home, and a severe barring out of all duplicity or illusion there. Whatever games are played with us, we must play no games with ourselves, but deal in our privacy with the last honesty and truth. I look upon the simple and childish virtues of veracity and honesty as the root of all that is sublime in character.

We'll Take It

Australian kid hits his first major league homer and no picture!
DBacks go into extra-innings an pull off a sweep.
Around table at Spud's, suspenser and suspenser.
The only way to stay with it - most excellent win.

Fun With Dirt

Got some of the cacti moved from the rear.
Hit the thrifts - Goodwill 1/2 off! Repotted.
I knew the soup cans would come in handy.
Studs left over from interior improvement.

Die-hard Conglomeration #8

Couldn't help but look up - we have a planet!
Figured, rather than a cable, do delay, avoiding jiggle.
How come there're stars in front of the flora?
The last moon shot, I promise. Didn't stay home.

Glad to have found this site, west looking east.
The occasion calls for limited celebration.

Another Reason to Recoil

Garish doesn't quite put it across.
We still can't accomodate the pathetic become bathetic.

There it is, kids.

OK. It moved. So made the adjustment. Not bad.
Be careful out there.

Thought I might go listen to music but will head home.
The Dbacks played earlier. They won. Soon: .500?

Needed a Shower

Prior to going to chapel, as mentioned, wanted to tub.
The gym was closed for repairs and refurbishing... I knew that.
Thought they'd re-open today, but not so. Take a walk.
Was looking forward to a shower too... not to be.

The very bright early evening sun. Here be chapel.

The awfully very bright early evening sun.

The shady spot adjacent. Suitable for weddings and funerals.
We don't do Bat Mitzvahs nor Sophocles. Not presently.

Around the horn. Still awfully bright.
Ten minute stroll... all sticky like.

With Family Life Center closed, had to cool off in chapel.
Had time before the service began and did so, just fine.

In Bible Study, Joseph gets locked up for nothing!
