Staying Out of Politics

Really don't want nor care to be involved.
Read many newspapers, magazines and blogs.
Mine cerebrum dost be compacted to distraction.
Nevertheless will participate thusly... I like her.

Met a woman the other night. She simply had to spout...
"I'm a life-long Democrat but Goldwater was alright."
Thirty-something, no substantiality diverse from propaganda.
"I stay out of it; sworn officer. Why, I'm a life-long Whig."

The thing about Barry Goldwater was always he was right, everyone else wrong. He got Phoenix under the control of merchandisers and it continues that way - the place has no soul. Later on he presented what I'll call the "Goldwater Effect;" whatever my family does is alright with me. That doesn't wash with what Jesus declared and I never liked the guy, a lousy influence on the body politic. A very dead fellow.

He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.
Funny thing at church.
A woman was asking about my "background."
I took her drift to be denominational...
"Growing up, the only Baptist I knew was Nelson Rockefeller."
