Really Moving On

I believe there are more young men

who come to Boston who are lost

because they cannot say no,

than for any other reason.

Dwight Moody on migration to the metropolis in the 19th Century - the megalopolis these days, apondering here in a moment.

Nevertheless, they're not the only "shameless exhibitionists" in town. Perfect recall of holding up a bar with a companion while we observed a couple totally schmoozin' an' flooozin' on the other side.

"Get a room." said himself, quasisotto voce.

Well, we've all heard that. The stunning thing was that the girl would take a break from kissy-face every few minutes to check her phone messages. The guy was simply cloy. I wanted to give them a hand. We laughed. What else are you going to do?

Meanwhile, w
e ourselves were being surveilled by someone who evidently held our melioration against us, private lives at a premium these days as well. Shows to go you! Yet perhaps I'm hasty there; nothing new rather, as the Apostle Paul remonstrated in Romans 1:

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer,

God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things

which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness,

wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice;

they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant,

boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,

without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful;

although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice

such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same,

but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.
