The pastor this evening spoke of zeal, in the context of following up on profession. Romans 10 suggested, putting gumption together with awareness. Like, get with the program.
How lovely on the mountainsGood thing the picture's in the file already.
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who announces peace
And brings good news of happiness,
Who announces salvation,
And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”
Isaiah 52.7
Another lateral career move, coming right up.
So if you've got that zeal, what else does it take? The pastor asked us to think of four changes our profession has brought about. Difficult as it was in an instant, perhaps in the instant the best response. Yet the first notion did not come until just now, hours later, after a diversion, amidst a crowd, before an imposing woman.
Grief. Resignation. Humor. Moxie.
Sounds like an outline for a novel.
Who's got the time?
