What's on the Agenda?

One of the best things about living in 110 degree heat is the evening shower washing off the grit of your normal walking around sweat your arse off already had one shower get home and take another, get dressed proper like putting long pants on ready for anything after sundown. Weary of monotony... Saratoga just the thing! Someday.

Did place bet on race; sloppy track. Mine 4th. Be Fair the winner.
Dbacks beat Mets. Reynolds tagged one; Davis worked out of a jam.
Not many people much interested. Baseball alienates a lot of folks.
Didn't bet on that but won a side bet on movie trivia. Later.

Looking across street had me getting hungrier and hungrier.
Putting it off cause I got plenty food home. But it's got to be Mexican.
Picked up some chili fixin's for later. Hungrier and hungrier... on diet!
Out for a while. Much to do in the morning before too hot. Yardwork.

Commenced to repaint me bird bath. Ran out of primer.
Yeah; had to go back to WalMart - it was worse this time.
Twenty minutes waiting for someone to come open up the case.
When a "manager" showed up, told me I interrupted his lunch!

Pin Money

Just had a mention of being in Saratoga. The Lake George tomorrow.
Perhaps I can catch it at an OTB oasis. Sounds like a plan.

Wait a minute... I've got to figure the timing and all! ('Andy Capped?)
Oh yeah; I'd rather be sailing. But it's awfully cold in the drink.

Rush Job

Closing time and just enough to make the journey worthwhile.
Fits just right as well. Really tired of dealing with sadists and idiots.

Naked Protopolis

Perhaps a move to Windermere is more in order.

A pleasant afternoon you'd think, but no...
sadly engineered traffic control a nuisance.

'Nother government farce; one literally must kneel to juice.
Are they sadists? Go ask OJ - he's got to tell you.
I wouldn't trust them... 'specially not with our lives.

In the lot, work in progress. Inspectors dropped by. OK to shoot.

Heads up! So vain they probably think those shoes are about them?

For years an eyesore, finally stripped. Location in search of endeavor.

Moving On

WiFi seriously deficient, the clientele beastly, clearly time to move.
2 John, yet the entire composition is beheld...

For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist. Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward. Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds.

They'll want to kill those testifying to the truth and glory of Jesus.

Hay; que estúpido.
Off to the library.
(A history of discrimination there too.)
They need to secure more English materials, way less alien.
Revanchicas; not my problem.

Broccoli Danish?

DBacks prevent Philly sweep and where's the zucchini bread?
Banana bread goes yummy too - donuts constitute a grave threat!
Jesus said it matters not what goes in...
it's what comes out of the mouth that defiles.

The night shots are not feasible for time being.
Even when flush with surface, buttoning makes motion.

Stalking critter.
Don't mean a thing.
Sort of a creepy place but reminds of taco joint in Oregon.
They heaped sour cream on the burros.

Dealing with Non-Pros

The Lost Leaf guy is unready at prime time.
Detoured to conspire another several shots...
"downtown" light show, the cleaners busy.
This looks interesting pursuant to those congregating.

Once had a broadcast camera stuck in my face.
"Don't point that thing at me." No cause.
A proprietor took it upon himself to release.
No can do... they had pecuniary interests. I don't.

In crowds a different matter. Within expectation -
of privacy, of course - they've no right to invade.
In our persons. That goes for our presence, buckos.
No fooling; they want that, we're entitled to recompense.

There's nothing to be done about gossips and shrews.
"Comes with the territory." the old refrain. Dandy.
The People may go where they wish sure of pacifity.
Uh, for the most part. There'll always be disturbistas.

Gee. I'm no longer leaning toward that tavern.
At any rate, they were given an opportunity.
If you've got a problem with my view, tough;
the "mediums" have made themselves of the State.
Here's to the sanctity of the U.S. Mails.

Dust Off the Feet

So one almost falls in love and has himself a hefty library fine.
For, what? Several days. Hope they spend it domestically.
And then, the twerps attack. Let them have it! Another coup.
Am presently composing for class... forgot my Bible!

Have to get it straight as to whether there's public WiFi there.
See folks - they're either using plug-ins or they've got it.
Asked someone but it wasn't made perfecly clear.
Have to bring the CPU in myself and check it out.

That will do directly. After prayer meeting. No tub.
Had a nice nap. We'll see how they treat me.
Afterward catch the last of the Philly game...
looks like Lost Leaf goes acoustic tonight. Strongbow?

Workin' Truck

Can't help it but there it is.

Presently squaring things up at Lola's.
We do wonder about the settlement!
None of our business - but slow WiFi is.
They need to upgrade. Soon. Sooner.

Hopi ladybug? A turtle? Definitely not a scarab.
The Turtle Dreamtime... set up shop on the shell, they did.
Great patina. I've some copper sheet for to do just that.
Instant antiquing formula. Slip into frames, then coffee table.

Met a play write getting kinks out of new production here.
On the long road toward meeting some producers, I guess.
Told her I may take it in depending on who shows up.
As it's only Wednesday, I've no inkling of the agenda.

After a nap, let's get past Bible Study and see.
The DBacks have an off day tomorrow.
They're at the Mets this weekend. Flushing.
No conflict except for paying bills? Hmmm.

Took a walk around the lot.
Recall conversation about Tiki Bar.
Cannot be! Church across street. Zoning.
Not bar, alas, but Polynesian restaurant.

Nice looking truck. Custom storage and chrome details.
Have had a half-a-load for the dump in my bed some time.
Probably should be home getting the back yard refuse in.
Waiting on someone to show up. They can if they will.

Awaiting on Sunrise

Rather than go out to see the DBacks, I stayed home and read.
(Holy Mackerel - I could be the first to comment! "Thick.")

Fell asleep. Woke way before dawn. Just as well... they lost.
So what is one to do but find the only WiFi venue nearby.

Got done what I needed; might I dither upon a spectacular epic?

About a month ago, I either took a shower or stirred some onions, taking my glasses off in the process. I do that - although they're bifocals, I'll take them off to look closely. I see perfectly at two feet, I figure. Of course, with regard to the lavage, they'll go in the medicine chest as I grab the toothpaste, but often enough I may place them elsewhere, and good luck finding them! In the kitchen, I have been known to put them in a cupboard and shut the door... "Where's me glasses?" becomes a mystery until I reach for the basil again.

Well, really did it this time. Nowhere to be found. Under something?
Papers and stuff on the tables and desk. Haven't stepped on them.
The hunt was on. "They'll turn up." the usual attitude.
My mother had her approach; they're under something.

Finally broke down, after several sweeps. New pairs.
Simultaneously picked up some beads for a new set.
Had to trim the beard for to "display." Normal.
Due for a haircut, I was; not senior yet, old sons!

Time marching on, crossed street to take the following:
Venus Arcs over the Lutherans. Venus given boost.

Indignation and Indemnity

The pettiness of trivial matters cuts both ways.
Taking a place at a local library for the WiFi, took exception.
One has to get on one's knees for to access juice!
The outlet panel misplaced; clearly a design flaw.

They didn't think it through, and the People are peeved.
An adjustment can easily be made; they simply gawked.
"Write it up." was broadcast to the hangers-on.
We'll see... just whom do they think they serve?

Immediately before, a pair of volcanic specimens.
Would make for a splendid study given the tools.
Now - there you go; mica; obsidian; basalt; quartz?
Not to mention cuts and lapidation! Take them?

Can't help but notice that the image degrades somewhat from the camera to the CPU to the hosting service. The focal issues one thing, the clarity after the loads another. Could be better. Pixelesser?

That's a great shot and shows the limitations of automated snaps. The sensors fix the focal point but do not make for an acceptable depth of field. All there is is the "macro" focus selection; getting redundant saying much too hot to take a series of assorted settings but the key issue, the focal plane, cannot be resolved as with a simple SLR. I'm not a photographer - I was just casually trained with an old Fujica (still have it, still works) semi-auto; as a matter of fact, I'd say a chemical print of an analog negative of the above would look much better, much smoother and brilliant, than any digitally produced one.

I'd love to see the above printed from film as well. In addition to diminishing the fine integrity through the electronic hoops, I think the camera is just plain got some obvious limitations. I don't know, and I'm only keen about it as I take more pictures while more or less knowing what I'm looking for. Could use some critiquing.

Years ago I went around Portland, Oregon taking pictures of manual tasking. Hands at Work was the theme of a learning curve as I delved into it with the newly secured Fuji. I'd take shots of cooks, mechanics, barbers... you name it, at their jobs. I'd like to do that again digitally. Other themes contemplated... you name it!

Subsequenly came across book about Shaker crafts - called the same.
Hands to Work - Hearts to God was a motto of theirs.
So it is dealing with the trivialities experienced as stated.
Is the State indemnified from inconveniencing the Church?

How cool is it?

That is the way one must think; three Navy showers a day!
Mind where the glasses are placed, though... will get to that.

Althouse has another Glenn Gould video up.
She's something, ain't she? Must lecture from old notes.

Would I put out Goldberg Variations?

You bet. And I think I'll post some more Churchills.

Sunset over the Atlas Mountains
Removed from pressures and demands of service, he thrived.
How lovely... transcends the "Black Dog" days of ostracism endured.

A Study of Boats
Renowned as Former Naval Person, he's fundamentally sound.
Happy RN signal when returned to Cabinet: Winston's back.

Marrakech
Our contemporaries more apt to reminisce thither.
Think hither and don't touch the stuff. Brandy and soda?

Blue Room in Trent Park
Surmise this pile, and a respite at the Sassoon place. Charming.
A critical purview'd take issue with the carpet, yet soothing blues.

View from Chartwell
His very own country place; in Kent.
Wunnerful scene herein, working on garden wall.

Lines, Curves, and Time Posting

A tripod is #86 on the to-do list.
Or is that to-get? Won't find one used, I'll say that.
You don't even need that... there's extension poles, like.
Whether they come mini, I've not the foggiest.

Had stimulating conversation with a Sioux woman.
We'd spoken previously of Crazy Horse monument.
Showed her above and then some Georgias.
Finished off with theoretics of concentrating forces.

The DBacks were embarrassing... the looked it too.
(Most of the serious sports are gearing up for football.)
My pool game is getting better. Good eye/hand coordinating.
Never let the right brain tell the left what to do? Relax.

Good thing the batteries charged and camera in pocket upon rolling out this morning. Happily espied a new bloom on saguaro after they were drenched. Nice print. Where to coffee? Need gas again!

Look it Up

Not exactly fun at library. WiFi slow. Divils about.
Discourtesy rampant; pretty busy and no coffee!

All power is of one kind, a sharing of the nature of the world. The mind that is parallel with the laws of nature will be in the current of events, and strong with their strength. One man is made of the same stuff of which events are made; is in sympathy with the course of things; can predict it. Whatever befalls, befalls him first; so that he is equal to whatever shall happen. A man who knows men, can talk well on politics, trade, law, war, religion. For everywhere, men are led in the same manners.

That from Mr. Emerson. Ironic there are schools named for him where not only isn't he read, let alone taught, but the teachers prefer to inculcate alien languages and ideologies. Ha... busy, they are, naming schools after the alien in the Oval Office... go figure.

"Well, son," she said gravely. "I want you to go ahead now and try to be Somebody. None of the others ever had your opportunity, and I hope you do something with it. Your papa and I have done the best we could. The rest is up to you."

He took her hand in a moment of wild devotion and kissed it.

"I'll do something," he said. "I will."

There's Thomas Wolfe. From high school for me.
(I'm tired of it. It wasn't like that, for me. Obstructions.)
Just now, a librarian, asked a simple question, kindly extrapolated.
Ha, again: research something and find out it's totally bogus.

Sounds like that information needs to be liberated.
(Moondog; highly inside that! Black Rock fixture.
That's CBS... the other phonies need to get in gear too.)
The broadcasting propaganda ministries be trounced?

Up and at' em!

Today, having picked up the sprays, going to repaint the bird bath.
The original whitewash has faded down to the concrete.
In fact, I was using it as a potted plant pedestal. Stained too.
How pleasing to see these upon arising this morning. Quick now...

Headed for the library. Thought I'd try the crane ensemble.
Could be taken from assorted vantage points.
A cooler day will allow more variation and less automation.
Palo Verde flora and the trussing most engaging thence.

Swing north; Metro Center; remembering waft of bread pudding.
Many shots analog of the amusement park. Timed exposures galore.
(Went along the canal alongside and I just have to - no connection.)
There's a sea monster I got pretty good. Where's the prints?

Turn around and "Can I interest you in an anchor?" Demographics.
(The illegals have siphoned off our cash and our enemies are goners.)
A surprise seeing the signage remnancy! Was The Broadway...
closed as Macy's, who moved elsewhere in mall. More to it, naturally.

180... Beau Guest... recall arcade experiences with the kids.
(Where they with me, I'd declare, "The Blue Mosque is took!")
Now thinking of the light in Marrakech, a destination venue...
folks such as Sir Winston took it in and put out pieces.

Approaching library, another lawn planter idea.
These be silk - still too hot for a study. (Automatic; done.)
I'm thinking of building small decks from salvage wood.
Cover the Bermuda grass and emplace cacti in nice pots.

Too Much

Having just stood on line for half an hour at a Wal-Mart for a couple of cans of spray paint and a bag of onions, it's probably not a good time to blog. That half-assed operation treats its customers like cattle and is completely insensitive to normal retail procedures. I'm finished with that parasite; too many excruciating check-out experiences - there's not enough staff, the management could care less, and there's no express egress - it's really too much.

Certainly shouldn't feel critical about much else, but the too muchness has me going anyway. The erstwhile friend is MIA and, though I'm resigned to that, I've got to say, though there was minimal repartee of strictly business measure, I miss her.

Once a girl asked me to go to Scotland with her. I told her preferred my job. She, an impulsive person incognizent of how such an invitation might throw someone for a loop, lost interest consequently. When I told her I'd miss her, she said I didn't even know her. Ay carrrrumba! Too much.

They don't take responsibility for their actions.

Existentially speaking, you've got to be responsible for the feelings manipulated by them. Nothing new there, and easy enough to move on but one can just as easily think that had they any decency you'd be given the opportunity to articulate the respective dialectic.

Too Bad

An experiment seeing whether Deuteronomy 6:4-5 comes through.
Lots of "practical experience" involved as well - another controversy.

Oh . . . need to thank my fellow bucketeer.
And, no, I haven't forgotten the Mustangs.

Reminds me of what was often said of certain pediatric patients:
"S/he's a fighter - s/he'll pull through."

Busted Relationships

On way to spa, from 7th Avenue onto Missouri, pass this place often.
Pass it on the way to church as well. Have been passing for years.
The by-pass, Missouri is, avoiding Camelback. Much to avoid.
And back again, like to coffee, only to deal with punks and pistols.

A question of syncronicity? Whether or not? More to avoid?

Once out of nature I shall never take
My bodily form from any natural thing,
But such a form as Grecian goldsmiths make
Of hammered gold and gold enamelling
To keep a drowsy Emperor awake;
Or set upon a golden bough to sing
To lords and ladies of Byzantium
Of what is past, or passing, or to come.

High noon in a city in search of civilization.
Awfully gauche entrepôt but we love the geezers.
So drop it, why don't you? Learn the manner.
You can not compete with us. Learn to yield.

Can you spare a cup of dichotomy?

The Tao of yeow!

Take him in, chill him out.
Case closed.

MoDo works a dead horse.
Obama's full of shit.

Case (No veracity.) closed.

Winding Up

Picking up continuum, Dbacks win and let's git some more.
Brazen Heads laying down the groove and we're kickin' back.

LeeAnn on the board. Keep to the right, please.

Snuck up on Liam. Best we could do.

Play Misty for me? Don't even think about it.

Let's Walk

Next model season... batteries @ $80K!

Let's see what the Teutuls have to say about this.

Stay Home?

Don't see what the big deal is.
Was engineered to bob and weave.

Was Uncle Otto in the mix?
The Gothamistas lead one on...

uh-oh; the Tacoma Narrows guy!

Wait On It

Have got to ask a police officer about the jaywalk matter. The letter.
I know the spirit is that if there's nothing going, no problem. Duh.
What of normal circulation crossing main drag at unlit corner?
Asked a fellow about U-turns - same story; OK if no traffic over lines.

Should one, however, do a turn when there is... vehicle control issue.
Execute without calamity and you're fine; collide and get writ up.

Pedestrians always have the right of way in a parking lot.
Motorists will have no defense; the bar will jump right in.

Another foreboding afternoon - we hope it pours!
After we get home, of course. Meanwhile, opportunity.
Enterprised these with simplest tool. Top two melded.
Last one is pretty much as is. As if that matters.

Pukka Thee Forth

That was Victor Hugo in exile.
(Look what I found!)

Coming up next -
Hugo, Victor in a pickle.

Confession

Disappointed she was elsewhere not dispensing is all.
Trouble is I met several other woman; demurred.

Thought I wouldn't go back to Finnegan's this evening on account of church tomorrow but am leaning toward that after the DBacks. It would be the best course. Yet even there many people are terribly wooden and, unfortunately, desensitized.

Just had that same scenario. Told the Unter den Linden story: the museum had a show of photos postered up of all the construction occurring in Berlin (Featured coffee presently Berlina.) upon the stomping grounds of the border hassles. Vacant remnant of The Wall snaking below cranes and boxed sets of glassy upscalers signifying not much, Checkpoint Charlie the only real installation as far as I'm concerned. (Need to find out where it's gone.) So I take in the pictures on the main floor and head up to the mezzanine overlooking. Several matrons and docents are loitering. I wet me whistle and did several in spades. Presently raised a cup to Arthur Harris and Henry Harley Arnold. Lest we forget - we'll make amends and amenities.

So there; we're awfully sorry they haven't our savoir-faire.
Easy to say, "Nothing but ack-ack."
Ah, yes... God punish England, eh?
All are punishéd. I'm saved.

Keeping Time

Beelined to Tim Finnegan's for Brazen Heads and sweet satisfaction.

A landmark, landlubbers. We parleyed with pirates anon.
Dispatched eventually.

Steve Young shares timing and steps up - not my job!
Neither is pictures.

Core rhythm personnel secure the foundation.

Up front the stage held by consummate folks.

Liam in good stead. I thank him for the amateur not bads.

The thatch job. Be there and you'll not regret. Ar fheabhas vittles.
A great group and staff; marvelous experience sure to be had.

Nocturnal Segue Addressed

A bit of a respite after a casual night on the neighborhood.

The DBacks didn't look too good and an erstwhile friend is scarce; there's no denying that the obstructors are becoming morose and I'm ready to make another one in a heartbeat. For all I know she's not the sort to have a civil conversation but depends upon atmospherics and being yammered. Whether that's ascertained is invariably a matter of denying the obvious. I figure she, like most women, is more apt to garner prattle than get it from the horse's mouth in privacy, but they don't respect that and often prefer to count coup under the illusion that somebody's eating their widdle heart out. Excuse me while I check with Sam Hill on that improbability. They'll always look for the easy out and want proof of some pathetic discombobbled crassness.

Well, I'm recharging the battery to get back out momentarily in order to post the subsequent, which will appear upsequent - a fine time with some old standbys. Oh yeah, don't get around much anymore. Easy enough to finesse that. Double standards? Une pièce de résistance d'un homme sociable et moelleux à négocier fermement... avec une paire. Otherwise, a complete waste of good will.

Difficult relating to strangers how many bodies I've coordinated with.
Better that strangers butt out of my business as the world turns.
Another thing coming, they get - and how.
I'm used to it - they're grasping. I'm at liberty.

Kids are OK

Seeing Ed Sullivan do intro for those hyper fellows reminds me. . .

Speedballs. . . you never know.

Pub Rules

You just don't want to go into it but it's awfully quiet.

Wouldn't listen to him for more than a nanoburst.
(Anyone here know from Bucephalus?)

Time to get the show on the road.

Where's the Sponge?

Hat tip S&L via Roll Call.

SOP has them totally fail-safed.
Why would the People want the liability?

Hold It Up

Have to do a laundry and get dry before sunset!

They're rolling in and the schedule is tight.

DBacks midway, I reckon.

'e Bin Roun'

Stepped out to see a fellow taking shots up 7th Ave. Most of mine are on the System 32 crashed hard dive and where's Brad these days? Tucson, last I heard. (He could be in Aruba too. Transversal skill set.) Went north for another. Processed with Cajuns.

Activity slowed down vis crunch and the serious money's flight to Singapore and points advantageous. Overseas Chinese have got many over a barrel, not to mention all that cement going mainland. (Bizarre people eking it out.) Recall being here when Lehman went under.

And multo steel. On file, the basal block lotsa rock reclaimed rebar.
Calls for the studied approach, less pixelled. River rock.

Where'd the utensils come from?
"Have they always been there?"
Affirmative from barrista.

The thing of it is is that this was indeed noted long ago but I don't remember them being there when I took the previous shot. Then again, I've forgotten what happened last night.

Did not go into heraldry nor excellent use of basket.
"Has this been cleared with the College of Arms?"

Don't be silly.
Readjust and pop them blues.
