Howard's old place.
He passed a while ago. His was the coffee place. He did catering beyond the corned beef and Miracle Milers. Howard loved to kibitz about feeding the Suns.
Didn't eat much there; on the job and can't work good on a full stomach. Between "procedures" when with nursing company, a good place to get the paperwork done. Before that, I remember the first time I plopped down at the counter; the joshing was going great guns. (He was also a major vendor.) Loved that place.
Back when the papers was paper, oftentimes one had to share a laugh or a load. Especially when things got hot and heavy in the kitchen. Perfectionist chefs... naturally. Has to be just right.
A source of creamed herring and pastrami masses moving the feast.
