Fooling Mother Nature

On one hand, you've got to ration the hubris of this.

The other smacks of the barrier across the Thames estuary designed to hold fast during a storm surge. I think the same applications have been made in the Netherlands.

Ah, yes... at least on the Scheldt. But to stop a Category 4-5?

That's a lot of vain ambition for some guys I'd like to see invest in people put to work building and trading on West Camelback Road in Phoenix. Yo! We need it like right away, boys.

We're starvin'. Where's chef? Jugos are delectable.

Plenty infill... yet to roll out attorneys... zoning issues, you betcha.

Prime corner. More optimum sites. Sure they're optioned.

You can just barely make out the Beef Eaters sign. An old Phoenix "institution" cut off at the ankles by the disruption caused by the construction (and delays) of the light rail. When I first moved here, I put an application in and never heard from them. Frankly, it's a bit too warm for such heavy cuisine.

Anyway, why put all that money in a sump when so many localities are hurting? Those guys need to get their priorities straight - and real.
