Yeats spoke of the "profane perfection of mankind" and I've got that, if one believes this locus of Christian testimony is representative of near perfection in the least. Along with R Crumb's illustration of A Short History of America, I'm reminded of an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm where Larry is lounging in his back yard, suddenly vexed by the sight of overhead wires disrupting the pleasure of living in a multi-million dollar house. A profane show indeed, but funny as all hell.
